What do you like most about your job?
I truly enjoy working with all the fine people who work here at Amsco. Their attitude toward this company and our customers is unequaled, anywhere, and it shows everyday. Their vision and enthusiasm is infectious and that’s good because if each employee is happy and successful, they map the strategy and success for Amsco Steel. Customers and their loyalty is the most sincere form of trust a supplier can receive . . . and it’s the Amsco employees who have earned that trust. I appreciate them and really do look forward to working with this fine team every day. Henry Ford said it best, "Take my people and leave me my money and I can never recover, but take my money and leave me my people and I can return to success tomorrow". The People at Amsco are Amsco.

What’s the most important thing you offer your customers?
As far as I know, we offer our customers a service center with more services and processing capabilities under one roof than any other service center. When you do business with Amsco you get all of us working for you. Our dedication to our customers comes from the top down and the bottom up.

Any hobbies?
I enjoy youth baseball, ranching, hunting and golf.

Pets?
Horse named Alle, a Labrador retriever named Belle and a pointer named Jake (" ... if I die, feed Jake.")

Favorite musician/artist?
At the top of my list are: Fleetwood Mac, Eagles, George Strait and Allen Jackson.  My favorite artists are John Cowan and G. Harvey

Any awards, associations or volunteer activities?
I am the Past Chairman of the Board, Harris Methodist Health System, and a board member of Harris Methodist Health Plan and Texas Health Resources. I’m a member of the Texas Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association, National Cattleman’s Beef Association and American Angus Associations. Past president of Colonial Country Club. I also coach baseball for R. L. Paschal high school.

Other info you’d like to share . . family, goals?
I’ve been married for 27 years to my lovely wife, Patti and have two children, Courtney and Clayton. My family’s well-being is at the top of my list. They are a constant source of support to me and my goals for Amsco Steel.

I have never wanted to be the biggest steel service center, only the best . . for our employees and our customers.

What do you like most about your job?
The autonomy . . . working with numbers and helping to bring profitability to the company.

What’s the most important thing you offer Amsco customers?
A vision toward the future where costs can be minimized and savings passed on to our customers.

Any hobbies?
I play golf, like to hunt, love being with my kids and working in the yard. I enjoy the outdoors.

Jake the dog and Louise the cat, Bombie the horse..

Jimmy Buffet, Allen Jackson and Charles Beckendorf, the artist.

I’m a committee member of American Heart Association Golf Tournament, a member of the Texas Society of CPA’s and Dallas Chapter of CPA’s and the Fort Worth Stock Show Syndicate..

Goals?
To balance my personal and professional life. I want to help double Amsco’s size and return an excellent margin back to Amsco owners.
